Vintage Wedding Trends - Art Deco reception flowers

Art deco is the most celebrated era of 20th century art and design. It ushered in a sprit of luxury, frivolity and a sense of style. This glitzy world was both functional and decorative and influenced all forms of creative design from furniture to transport.

Art deco had tremendous variety, it could be avant-garde, sleekly streamlined or lushly ornamental. We have designed a series of flower displays based on art deco designs bringing clean lines, stylised flowers and geometric patterns together to create elegant table centres that can only be described as art!.

Vintage Wedding Trends – Lace

The biggest trends at the moment for weddings are themes and the theme of the moment is vintage. This theme can cover anything from Victorian to Art Deco through to the 70’s Studio 54 glamour.
Colours are very important and can be chosen to match any of these themes from pastel shades  to bold colours. One of the colours making a come back is monochrome (black & white) and by adding touches of gold or silver you have the perfect colours for art deco glamour that can make your wedding stand out from the crowd.

Mixing flowers with different materials can make the finishing touches to the Vintage theme for example lace has become popular with the fashion industry and is now being used with floral decorations.
Lace can be added to your floral bridal bouquets by either wrapping a single flower with in your bouquet or wrapping the handle of your bouquet, jewellery can be added like a brooch or necklace for extra luxury.

The more up to date versions of Vintage can still use  lace but by changing the colour and using black lace with pink flowers creating a pretty French style theme or mix with white flowers for a monochrome (black and white) theme.
